Conference 2022: The next generation’s classroom

North Alabama Healthcare Educators Committee (NAHEC) held their annual conference on July 8th, 2022, at the University of North Alabama Anderson College of Nursing’s new state of the art building and simulation lab.

Everyone in attendance heard presentations on several topics, including Diversity and Inclusion, How to incorporate technology into your teaching, and how COVID has impacted orientation and students coming out of nursing school.

Attendees got a sneak peak of the simulation lab/hospital where UNA nursing students develop critical nursing skills from engaging simulations and instructors. This impressive simulation lab is going to serve upcoming nurses to develop critical thinking, skills, and impressive clinical reasoning while being evaluated by specialty instructors in a controlled setting.

The University of Alabama campus hosts the annual NAHEC conference, giving a tour of the Anderson College of Nursing’s simulation lab. Attendees of the conference saw technology and facilities used to simulate multiple situations across departments, such as Community Care, Labor and Delivery, and Nursery.
